I decided early on to restore the GTS-4 instead of modify it.

I have to do a lot of (major and minor) stuff to the car if i want to get it back to factory condition so to help me remember/keep track i created this page which lists all that needs to be done in this column and all that has been done in the column on the right.

If you are able to help with anything or suggest ideas for fixing stuff in the list then please do so as i need all the help i can get!

I no longer include regular maintenancy things like oil changes etc in the Completed Already section.

EXTERIOR (12)
1. 'Tire Black' spots all over exhaust tip - need to remove somehow
2. Paint chips all over car need to be fixed up especially at the front
3. Get window wipers repainted
4. New front numberplate (with extension so it doesn't have to be bent into place)
5. Rust on underside of boot lid, in the boot and a hole somewhere which always lets water drip down into the boot and get carpet stuff wet
6. Get 'curb marks' out of all four wheels?
7. Get underside of car totally clean (no-one sees it, but i still want it clean :P)
8. All four tyres replaced at the same time with good grippy tyres
9. Get black lining around bottom of car repainted
10. Get dints and scratches removed from the boot after a 'meeting' with our stupid crappy munted apple tree. :(
11. Remove scratches on front bumper after car slid into back garden on wet grass.
12. Get repainted.

ENGINE BAY/MECHANICS (12)
1. Get it all professionally cleaned!
2. All old/wearing pipes, rubber etc replaced
3. Get engine tuned up properly
4. Replace front tie rod end
5. Need back window washer working again (only squirts about 1-3 cm's)
6. Fix suspension and everything else if needed
7. Anti-freeze
9. Replace breather pipe (leaking oil)
10. Find oil (or whatever it is) leak that keeps making patches on the ground under the car...
11. Engine rebuild (knocking is getting louder and is easily audible)
12. Total gearbox restoration (got quoted $3,000...)

INTERIOR (15)
1. Get it all professionally cleaned
2. Get all upholstery repaired/replaced
3. All leather fixed up/replaced
4. Drivers mat fixed up
5. Try to locate and eliminate the rattle coming from under the passengers seat
6. Make sure all dials (speedo included) are working/accurate
7. Get air conditioning working properly - doesn't go cold
8. Get CD Player working
9. Get all buttons/switches replaced/repainted
10. Get windows cleaned properly/fixed for better vision
11. Find out why rear air conditioning unit thingy doesn't go
12. Get tape player fixed
13. Secure vent thingys along front windscreen (on dash)
14. Remove rust from parts of the (inside!!) car
15. Get rear demister going again!!

3. Changed from Shell 96 octane petrol to BP Ultimate (98 octane)
4. All fuses now appear to be accounted for and working - free
5. Second hand gearbox bought - $50.00
6. Shipping to get gearbox from Nelson to Dunedin - $74.30
7. Gearbox changed/replaced - $400.00
8. Exhaust leaks fixed - free
9. Front lights angle changed to required levels - free
10. Bonnet holder uppy thing replaced - free
11. Five star car alarm - $440.00
12. Installation of alarm - $250.00? (lost reciept i think?)

9. Glovebox mechanisim (to slow its opening instead of having it drop straight down when you open it) fixed! - free

12. Passengers side air vent - $141.30 (brand new)
